Simons is seeking an HR & Event Planning Assistant to join our team for an exciting opportunity: supporting the opening of two new Simons stores in Toronto in 2025! This is your chance to make a meaningful impact on the success of two major store openings.
Key Responsibilities
As the HR & Event Planning Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in helping us recruit, train, and onboard exceptional talent for our new Toronto locations. Based out of our Square One store in Mississauga, you will work closely with the HR and Operations teams to plan and execute recruitment events, job fairs, training sessions, and other key initiatives that will shape the future of our Toronto stores.
Event Planning & Logistics:
- Bring your organizational skills to life by coordinating vibrant recruitment events, job fairs, and dynamic training sessions that attract top talent.
- Take charge of the details—plan venues, schedules, and event setups to create seamless and engaging experiences.
- Collaborate with passionate internal teams and trusted external partners to ensure every event is a resounding success from start to finish.
Recruitment & Training Support:
- Be the driving force behind our recruitment efforts by tracking and managing candidate progress and ensuring timely, positive communication at every step.
- Help shape our future team by supporting the onboarding and training process for new hires, setting them up for success.
- Get creative! Assist in crafting engaging recruitment and training materials that inspire and inform
Administrative Assistance & Communication:
- Keep us on track by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all recruitment, onboarding, HRIS, and training activities.
- Impress stakeholders with professional presentations, reports, and documentation using your advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Be a communication pro—ensure clear, effective, and professional interactions with internal teams, candidates, and external partners, making every connection count.
Desired Profile
- Have an exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have the flexibility to travel to Toronto is required,
- Be proactive and have a creative mindset and a strong sense of duty to ensure the success of our new store openings.
