Product Development

Lead – Design

Quebec

Old Quebec (Head office)

Full time

Our passion for product guides every step of the creative process. We are looking for an inspiring and detail-driven Lead – Design, someone who brings a love for fine craftsmanship, a strong sense of style, and a collaborative mindset. As a key creative pillar within the team, you will support Design Leadership in the evolution of our exclusive collections—pursuing product excellence through the “four Fs”: Fashion to Fit, Fabric to Finishing.

Through your expertise, you will act as a mentor and a driver of rigour and innovation, while actively contributing to team development, continuous improvement of processes, and the overall quality of our products. You will play a vital role in innovation, managing complex projects, and maintaining strong relationships with our partners.

Responsibilities

  • Elevate design to new levels of quality and refinement.
  • Coach and support designers in their professional and technical growth.
  • Encourage research and experimentation with new materials, trims, and finishes, with a focus on eco-conscious practices.
  • Ensure consistency and optimisation of styles through collaboration with internal teams and supplier partners.
  • Take an active role in planning and overseeing projects related to collections, volumes, and Simons themes.
  • Recommend tangible improvements to creative and development processes to reduce lead times and enhance added value.
  • Provide a broad vision and strategic approach to solving complex product or production challenges.

This role is a unique opportunity to bring your design talent to a bold vision, exceptional products, and a team committed to pushing the standards of fashion design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Management & Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, or another relevant field—or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of fashion and trends, along with a deep awareness of influential designers and major artistic movements.
  • Demonstrated positive leadership.
  • Excellent rigour and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently, manage priorities, and handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and French to interact effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel internationally with a flexible schedule.

Benefits

  • A telemedicine service and Employee and Family Assistance Program.
  • Group insurance plan and RRSP.
  • Up to 40% off Simons purchases.
